The Irish Lebanon Project is a Charity Organisation founded in 2005 in Ireland and Lebanon.  Its purpose is to serve the people of Lebanon, with practical, "hands on" work and also financial support.  We are all volunteers and we have virtually no administration expenses.

The charity is affiliated with The Father Andeweg Institute for the Deaf (FAID) in Lebanon.
Helping this school and its pupils is currently our main activity

The Father Andeweg Institute for the Deaf (F.A.I.D.) is a school for Deaf Children in Lebanon, it was founded by a Dutch Anglican clergyman Father Andy Andeweg. It is a Christian School that caters for all children who are deaf or hard of hearing regardless of their religion, ethnic origin or financial ability to pay.  At the moment there are 73 pupils in the school age 3-18 years, 26 resident and 47 day pupils. 68% Muslim, 10% Druze and 22% Christian.

Being a volunteer is an amazing life changing experience.

Here's your chance to achieve that goal, raise much-needed funds for charity and have some serious fun at the same time...

You'll skydive from 10,000 feet or more, at speeds of around 120 miles per hour, securely harnessed to a professional skydiving instructor who will look after everything for you - from gearing up to touching down.

All you have to do is have the time of your life!
After an exhilarating freefall for 35 seconds or so, the parachute opens at around 5000 feet.

That's when you'll experience the amazing 5 to 7 minutes thrill of your canopy ride and soak up the most incredible panoramic views.

For details in making a skydive part of your fundraising, please click HERE

On this occasion the emphases of our volunteers was on the interaction with the children which was achieved by accompanying the children on school tours and interacting with them in their school.  Our volunteers managed to fund a Child Psychologist and a generator for the school
